I generally don't do audio recording when I'm shooting Super-8, but when I do, I bring a video camera along and record to S-VHS Stereo HI-FI with stereo linear back-up tracks, the bonus is I get a picture as a back-up.
When shooting Super-8 on location, do you always use the same audio recording device, or do you vary it based on the project, and what are the recording devices you use?

I've dabbled with minidisc but its too hard for one person. Attaching it to the camera becomes a wiry mess.
I am gonna use a camcorder from now on when I want sound and use a clapper (hands).
